In 1956, Radamés dedicated to Jacob the concertante suite Retratos (Pictures), in four movements, for mandolin soloist, cavaquinho, two guitars, tambourine and string orchestra. The work is a tribute to four great masters of Brazilian music: Pixinguinha, Ernesto Nazareth, Anacleto de Medeiros, and Chiquinha Gonzaga. The piece is recorded by Jacob, in 1964, on the Columbia label, with conductorship by the author. Foto: arquivo Radamés Gnattali
