Radamés didn’t give lessons, he said that ‘you can’t teach someone to be a musician,’ and that was that. On the other hand, the musicians who have enjoyed his friendship are unanimous in recognizing that they have learned a lot from Radamés. At the age of 79, in a statement recorded at the Museu da Imagem e do Som (Image and Sound Museum), in Rio de Janeiro, Radamés makes a surprising statement: ‘I would like to teach what I have learned (…) I have a lot of experience and I would like to pass it on, but I don’t know how’.
