For S\u00e9rgio Cabral<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>At the request of the mandolinist Joel Nascimento, Radam\u00e9s transcribed the orchestral part of <em><strong>Retratos<\/strong><\/em> <em>(1956<\/em>) for regional choro ensemble. Based on the excellent interpretation by Joel and the young musicians who accompanied him at that time, the conductor was encouraged and began a new and final stage of his life, as a composer, arranger and pianist. In the repertoire, in addition to songs by the honoree, Joel interprets the suite <em><strong>Retratos<\/strong><\/em>(1956), by Radam\u00e9s.<\/li>\n<li>Funarte\/INM launches the elep\u00ea <em>Quinteto Villa-Lobos <\/em><strong>[2]<\/strong>, with works by Brazilian composers, including the <strong><em>Su\u00edte para flauta, obo\u00e9, clarinete, fagote e trompa<\/em><\/strong><em> (1971)<\/em>, by Radames Gnattali.<\/li>\n<li>Pianist Arthur Moreira Lima records at Copacabana, <em>A grande m\u00fasica de Noel Rosa<\/em>, in which he interprets the <strong><em>Concerto de Noel Rosa para piano e orquestra<\/em><\/strong><em> (1978)<\/em>, by Radam\u00e9s Gnattali, conducted by the author.<\/li>\n<li>The record company Som Livre launches the album <em>Iber\u00ea Gomes Grosso \u2013 Homenagem<\/em>, , in which the great virtuoso interprets the<strong><em>Sonata para violoncelo e viol\u00e3o<\/em><\/strong> <em>(1969)<\/em>, and Radam\u00e9s Gnattali, with Nelson de Macedo on guitar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Radam\u00e9s composes:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Concerto Carioca n\u00ba 2 for two guitars and chamber orchestra<\/em><\/strong> (transcription of the original for piano, double bass and drums, with orchestra, from 1964) \u2013 dedicated to Duo Assad.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Retratos for solo mandolin, cavaquinho, two guitars, 7-string guitar and tambourine <\/em><\/strong>transcription of the orchestra part, from 1956, for choro ensemble) \u2013 dedicated to the mandolinist Joel Nascimento.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The composer and broadcaster Haroldo Barbosa, one of the most brilliant minds of the so-called \u201c<em>golden age of radio\u201d<\/em>, dies in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), alongside Almirante, Jos\u00e9 Mauro, Paulo Tapaj\u00f3s and Radam\u00e9s Gnattali.<\/li>\n<li>Beginning of the government of the last president of the period of Brazilian military dictatorship, General Jo\u00e3o Baptista de Oliveira Figueiredo. Political opening is promoted, the AI-5 ceases to be in force.
