{"id":8274,"date":"2022-04-05T19:38:27","date_gmt":"2022-04-05T19:38:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radamesgnattali.com.br\/linha-do-tempo-radam\/1950\/"},"modified":"2022-10-26T19:34:24","modified_gmt":"2022-10-26T19:34:24","slug":"ano-1950","status":"publish","type":"linha-do-tempo-radam","link":"https:\/\/radamesgnattali.com.br\/en\/linha-do-tempo-radam\/ano-1950\/","title":{"rendered":"1950"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>On January 18, violinist Oscar Borgerth performs, in his first audition, the <strong><em>Concerto No. 1 for Violin and Orchestra <\/em><\/strong>(1947) by Radam\u00e9s Gnattali, with the <em>Orquestra Sinf\u00f4nica da R\u00e1dio Nacional<\/em>, conducted by Leo Peracchi.<\/li>\n<li><strong> <\/strong>A <strong><em>Brasiliana n\u00ba 3 (symphony), <\/em><\/strong>of <em>1948, is <\/em>performed in Rio de Janeiro by the Orquestra Sinf\u00f4nica Brasileira, conducted by Erich Kleiber.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong><em>Suite for small orchestra,<\/em><\/strong> of <em>1940,<\/em> is performed, in Belo Horizonte (MG), by the <em>Belo Horizonte Symphony Orchestra<\/em>, conducted by Guido Santorsola.<\/li>\n<li>Radam\u00e9s signs the musical direction of the film <strong><em>Morning Star<\/em><\/strong>The film is narrated by Jonald (Oswaldo Marques de Oliveira), with songs by Dorival Caymmi interpreted by the composer himself.<\/li>\n<li>R\u00e1dio Nacional creates the <em>Brazilian Music Department and <\/em>launches, as its first project, the program Instant\u00e2neos Sonoros do Brasil (Instantaneous Sound of Brazil). <strong><br \/>\n  <em>Snapshots of Brazil,<\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong> fronted by M\u00e1rio Faccini, Paulo Tapaj\u00f3s and Radam\u00e9s Gnattali; it is a program similar to <em>Instant\u00e2neos Sonoros do Brasil <\/em>, launched in 1940 by Almirante, Jos\u00e9 Mauro and Radam\u00e9s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9152\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 223px;\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9152\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9152\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/radamesgnattali.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/108.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7056 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/radamesgnattali.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/108-276x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"276\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/radamesgnattali.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/108-276x300.jpg 276w, https:\/\/radamesgnattali.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/108-943x1024.jpg 943w, https:\/\/radamesgnattali.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/108-768x834.jpg 768w, https:\/\/radamesgnattali.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/108.jpg 1100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 276px) 100vw, 276px\" \/><\/a>A Noite (RJ), 08\/22\/1950.<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>In partnership with Alberto Ribeiro, Radam\u00e9s records on Continental his most famous samba-can\u00e7\u00e3o, <strong><br \/>\n  <em>Bitterness<\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong><em><br \/>\n  <u>,<\/u><br \/>\n<\/em> by Lucio Alves, with <em>C\u00f3pia and his Orchestra. <\/em>He also records the toada <strong><em>Segura a saia, iai\u00e1<\/em><\/strong>, interpreted by Trio Melodia, and the <strong><br \/>\n  <em>Quadrilha de coquinhos<\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong>with the <em>Maxambomba Philharmonic Orchestra<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>The Continental label, rescuing the memory of the unjustly forgotten composer Noel Rosa, releases an album with three 78-rpm phonograms, with 6 songs by the composer (two of them in partnership with Vadico), interpreted by the singer Aracy de Almeida. Radam\u00e9s<em>(Vero and his orchestra)<\/em> is in charge of the arrangements and accompaniment. The album cover illustration is by Di Cavalcanti.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Radam\u00e9s composes:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong> <\/strong><strong><br \/>\n  <em>Concerto Carioca No. 1, for electric guitar, piano, popular percussion and large orchestra<\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong> <strong><br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/radamesgnattali.com.br\/radames-e-seu-tempo-1941-1950\/#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong> &#8211; dedicated to Laurindo Almeida<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Choreographic Sonatina<\/em> <em>(Four dancing movements), <\/em><\/strong><em><br \/>\n  <strong>for piano<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><br \/>\n  <em>Toccata in Samba Rhythm <\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong>[n\u00ba 1]<strong><br \/>\n  <em> for guitar<\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>O compositor paulista Camargo Guarnieri publica a sua <em>Carta aberta aos m\u00fasicos e cr\u00edticos do Brasil<\/em> , in which he emphatically attacks atonalism, considering dodecaphonism an anti-Brazilian system of composition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On September 18, S\u00e3o Paulo&#8217;s TV Tupi, the first television station in Latin America, goes on the air.<\/li>\n<li>Get\u00falio Vargas is elected president of Brazil, for the PTB, with 49% of the valid votes.<\/li>\n<li>On June 2nd, Rio de Janeiro&#8217;s M\u00e1rio Filho Stadium, better known as <em>Maracan\u00e3<\/em>, is inaugurated. The stadium was specially built for the <em>IV World Soccer Championship <\/em>to be held in Brazil.
